Organizing Principles

Never ask the user to do something that you can do for them. You have to do all the work.
This has become one of our core organizing principles. In an application of this complexity, you cannot hope that the user will dedicate hours to filling out all this information, only to promise them that it will all work great in the end. They won’t do it, and you will be left with an expensive mess. So most of our efforts were centered around automating much of the complexity. This is most evident in our registration, which can, in most cases, take little more than a mobile number, and turn it into a complete digital model of the household, including Properties, Mortgages, Vehicles, People, and even financial accounts. Is it scary, maybe, but is it easy? Hell yeah.
Never leave the user stranded without knowing the next step to take. Always be leading them forward.

Sharing is Important - Security is Paramount
The more we talked with high net worth individuals the more we understood that it took a village to enable their lifestyle - wealth managers, estate planners, tax attorneys, insurance agents, and others, not to mention being able to easily sharer all that information with your partner or spouse. Any system we would create would eventually need to handle this necessity, but it would need to do it in an understandable way, with complete control in the user’s hands, and ensure total security.
