About UnifyOS
People think in terms of things, not transactions. We build software that does too.
Why we built UnifyOS
The idea came from a life that suddenly got complicated: a first mortgage, a new car, several insurance policies and two cats with vet bills. The tools on offer were calendars, task lists and Quicken, and none of them understood a household as a set of things that need protecting.
That idea went through many versions over the years, from a consumer app to a platform for high-net-worth families. Along the way came careers in consumer software, a startup acquisition, and years in real estate, private equity and insurance technology.
The insight that shaped UnifyOS is that knowing what someone owns, owes and is exposed to tells a story the numbers alone can't. The people best placed to act on that story are the insurance agents who already look after the household. So we built UnifyOS for them, starting with agencies on HawkSoft.

LinkedInHow we build
The principles behind the product
Things, not transactions
Households are homes, cars, valuables and pets, not rows of categorized spending. We model the things.
Never ask what we can find
Nobody wants to spend hours on data entry. If UnifyOS can import it or discover it, it should.
Always show the next step
Nobody should be left wondering what to do next. The product should lead them forward.
Sharing matters, security is paramount
It takes a village to run a household. Everyone in it should see exactly what they need, and nothing more.
